About this page
This is the page that lists those people who vote in the CommunityWikiAssembly (please see that page for what this is all about). This page has three functions:
- Answers the question “who is a voting member in the CommunityWikiAssembly?”
- Activity timestamps. Each voter has a timestamp on this page which they must update periodically to verify their continued interest.
- Vote delegations (LiquidDemocracy). This page is the place where each voter may opt to specify to whom their vote is delegated, and under which conditions.
Please do not edit this page unless you are yourself a voting member. Please direct discussion to TipsForAssemblyMembers. To become a voting member, you need to follow the procedure outlined in the CommunityWikiBylaws.
Member List
Delegations:
- When I seem to be absent for 10 days or more, I delegate my vote to LionKimbro on all issues except for membership list changes or bylaw amendments. Lion, don’t be surprised if I come back and change a vote that you have cast for me
.
Delegations:
- financial issues: HansWobbe
- adding new voting members: until we get 14 people, always “yes, let them vote”.
- everything else: AlexSchroeder and LionKimbro: whichever one gets there first
.
Delegations:
- On “meta” matters of voting and governance and the bylaws and so on, including the ratification of the government itself: BayleShanks
- On votes for “who is a member?”, AlexSchroeder
- On aesthetic questions, MattisManzel
- All other decisions, or in hard-to-judge what is what situations: AlexSchroeder
Call me at USA 206.427.2545 if a constitutional crisis comes up, or I’m otherwise needed.
Hmm, this seems complicated and maybe even distorting to me. Figure out how many votes has who if a, b and c are absent, I mean.
In case I’m off for a week post on Mattis-Manzel-wiki: talk. If I’m not around after three more days, do as if I don’t exist or equally distribute my vote to all members. When urgent RadomirDopieralski might give a wise advice about the issue. He won’t if he can’t.
Delegations:
- In my absence, I delegate my vote to LionKimbro for “who is a member”, and community member banning, should it ever become necassary
- I delegate my vote to BayleShanks for “meta” matters of voting and governance and the bylaws.
- I delegate my vote on community decisions about introducing new tehcnologies to MattisManzel
- I delegate my vote on any other decision to AlexSchroeder
Stats
This is currently 8 people. With the current proposal on the page CommunityWikiBylaws, this would mean that:
- When all members participated in a vote, either directly or by proxy, then the voting threshold to change the membership list or to amend the bylaws would be 7 votes (90%).
- When all members participated in a vote, either directly or by proxy, then the voting threshold to add or change the endorsements/rules would be 6 votes (80%).
- When all members participated in a vote, either directly or by proxy, then the voting threshold to repeal an endorsement/rule would be 4 votes (51%).
- If some members don’t participate in a particular vote, then not only are there the usual thresholds, but also at least 3 people would have to vote “yes” on any sort of proposal (ceil(sqrt(8)) – either directly or by proxy.
