SocialCapital

The term social capital is used when talking about social power that is independent of monetary power. This power is based on your friends, the communities you belong to, how you fit into your neighbourhood, etc.

Trying to quantify social capital is the problem: By itself the term is vague. But how do you quantify social relationships and power gradients along those relationships? In an interview, the interview situation itself skews the result, so research into social networks is hard.
